When Dennys sent me this beat, I fell in love with it. It had that old school jazzy/blues style i loved. However, when i started writing to it, i reached a point where i was just like... Where the hell am i Going with this story lool. I guess if i really thought about it I could have twisted it and finished the story.... but if I had done that, we wouldn't have an interlude on the Album!
lyrics
VERSE
And leaving is a joke, but maybe if its Hope that your grasping at,
I’ll cut with a stolen pack of notes that I folded back,
Notice, slowly down the road in a Bowler hat,
Token, Black guy, suspicious like a black eye, Popo, searching,
Always tryna Trap I, Silly draw the curtains,
Meet me in the alleyway Im avoiding the serpents,
Got my Queen Elizabeths, on good terms with the Turkish, So,
Jump into the back of a white van,
Heading up to Cyprus get the money and a nice tan,
Breezing through the lights, yo I’ve gotta catch this flight fam,
.... Yo I got excited nearly broke the mic stand,
& back to the topic, I rap for the Profit, Nah thats the wrong topic,
“Ya know what I’ve been drinking a little bit...”
Now we going about 80, Sirens behind us, Kinda getting crazy,
If I don’t make it, shout out to my lady,
And she just text me back like what have you done for me lately.
(Then the Interlude drops and I start chatting dumb, sorry about that chaps lool. To be honest I couldn’t think of a way of ending the story lol.... hey you get what you pay for!)
